Six British soldiers are given "missing" in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan and are "considered dead," the Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday in London, in a statement quoted by AFP.
Soldiers were doing patrol on Tuesday, when the vehicle they were traveling was achieved by an explosion, the ministry said.
If their death will be confirmed, balance British soldiers killed since the beginning of the conflict in Afghanistan in 2001 will reach over 400. Before this incident, British military balance was 398 killed.

With 9,500 troops deployed in Afghanistan, Britain is the second in terms of contribution to NATO Force (ISAF) in this country after the United States, which have about 100,000 troops in the field.
All British combat troops to be withdrawn from Afghanistan by the end of 2014.
