Wikileaks: Bashar al-Assad's mother, worried that her son would suffer the same fate as Muammar Qadhafi

New documents published by WikiLeaks website suggests that mother Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Annissa Makhlouf, is "disappointed" that her son was "created chaos" in Syria and fears that it will suffer the same fate as former Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi.
According to information obtained by Stratfor Agency and published on Tuesday, Assad's mother expressed disapproval of the way it manages the revolt against him. "He said something like: if your father had lived, things would have never come here," said in an e-mail the agency, reports ynetnews.com.
According to information, Anissa Makhlouf had a "central influence on Bashar's political development."
Makhlouf married Hafez Assad, who was considered her inferior social status in Syrian society, in 1958.
Former First Lady of Syria would be "very concerned that her children might have the same fate as Qadhafi and his sons" and putting pressure on Bashar al-Assad to explore "an exit strategy" before it is too late.
